There are some couples who just can’t wait to get away to the wilderness for a weekend getaway. Here are some tips for making camping with your partner one of the best experiences you’ve ever had.
Consider a short trip if this is your partner’s first time Camping
Camping can be a lot of fun for couples. But even if you’re a seasoned camper, taking your partner out to the great outdoors can be a big step if they are not used to camping.
Try taking them on a short weekend trip for the first time to see how they like it.
Pack the essentials
When camping, one of the most important things is to make sure you have the necessary supplies to be ready for a trip to the wilderness.
Here are a couple of things that we recommend taking (as well as your usual camping gear)
A Double Sleeping Bag
Couples have quite a few options for getting cozy when camping. If they prefer to cuddle up in a sleeping bag (which is usually too small for two people), they can use a doubled sleeping bag.
The one that we recommend is the ‘oaskys Camping Sleeping Bag‘.
Just make sure that you also have a mattress that is big enough your both of you.
Bring a Carrier and don’t forget the wine
We all like to drink wine when we go camping, so keeping your wine in a carrier can help keep your bottles safe.
Double camping chair
There are plenty of options for camping chairs and many that you could consider to get you through your next camping trip. However, I have found that when my wife and I go camping, a double camping chair is perfect for us to get cozy on.
Camp chores should be split up
If you’re a couple, you’re going to need to work together to make sure chores get done. That is why you are better off splitting up your chores between the both of you.
Secluded locations are best
It has been said for a long time now that “camping is for couples”. But that isn’t entirely true. Camping is for everyone. But if you are in a relationship with someone, you will probably want some privacy.
When finding a campsite, try and find a place that is not in the middle of nowhere, but one that will ensure that you are not disturbed by other campers.
Picnic by the fire
What’s more romantic than a candle-lit dinner? A campfire picnic.
Try playing romantic games
Romantic games are a great way to get some alone time with your partner.
Stargazing
Isn’t it awesome to snuggle up to someone you love and watch the stars while camping? There’s nothing better than spending the night under the stars with your significant other.
Take in the sunset
There are many ways to have a memorable camping experience, from hiking on a mountain road to sitting around a campfire and roasting marshmallows over the flames. But there is one part of your experience that is guaranteed to be unforgettable every time – watching the sunset behind the trees and hills. In fact, seeing the sun sink into the horizon is one of the most beautiful things you’ll ever see – and it’s a sight that you can witness at almost any campground or national park in the United States.
