Enjoying Outdoor Activities

I had a great time camping at Big Bay State Park. It had all the outdoor activities I could want!

Fishing opportunities were abundant, and I spent hours angling in the lake. Bird watching was also a treat, with a wide variety of species to observe. The scenery was stunning, and I felt so relaxed being surrounded by nature.

The lake was especially beautiful, and I made sure to spend some time just admiring it. Being able to take in the serenity of a place like this is one of life’s greatest gifts. Taking it all in and enjoying the peacefulness was something I will never forget.

To top it off, I got to spend quality time with my family, making memories we will cherish for years to come. With that said, it’s time to move on from outdoor activities and explore another way to relax by the lake!

Relaxing By The Lake

Big Bay State Park is situated on the shore of Lake Superior, offering visitors a tranquil and peaceful setting to enjoy some time outdoors. With over 10,000 acres of land to explore, it’s no wonder the park saw over 80,000 visitors in 2019 alone!

The lake is an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation. On a calm summer day, I love to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters before settling down on the beach for a picnic lunch.

Afterwards, I can spend hours tasting s’mores or stargazing night skies with friends around the campfire. There’s something special about being able to disconnect from technology and connect with nature here at Big Bay State Park.

It’s no wonder Big Bay State Park is a popular destination for campers. From the breathtaking views of Lake Superior to the abundance of outdoor activities and recreational opportunities, it’s an ideal spot to spend time with family or friends.

And while it may be easy to get lost in nature’s beauty, it’s important to remember to take a moment and appreciate the world around us. As Robert Frost wrote, ‘Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.’

By exploring Big Bay State Park, you will experience some of life’s greatest gifts: peace, serenity and adventure.
